About Us
Introductions
Hello, thank you for visiting our site and taking a moment to learn more about Matt6 Computer Solutions LLC. I give a brief picture of our main vision on the home page, which is simply “bridge the gap between the technology world and the every day user”.
Who are you?
Fair question and one I intend to answer in two parts. As the owner, my name is Brandon Edmunds. I am an the average guy, happily married with children and saved by Jesus Christ. I’ll get to that more in the second part. I started and am still currently bi-vocational, meaning Matt6 was originally meant to be a part time or moonlighting gig and remains so today. I started in Matt6 in July of 2008 because I was tired of the tainted image that is carried in the view of IT support (noted a lot of that image has been self-inflicted). I felt it was time for a different support… a type of support that put value in teaching, value in the sharing of knowledge, value in integrity and value in dependability. I stand behind those attributes for myself and for this company and I ask you to hold me to them.
Matt6 in itself is named after the passage that comes out of Matthew 6, specically verse 34 which states:
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble”(esv)
In this Chapter, the Lord gives us many instructions from how to pray and fast, to give, to seek out the Lord for all of our needs. He sums it up with that verse and I think we can all apply that to our lives including in the are of information technology. My experience as a professional support technician has shown me how much we depend on technology and how stressful that can be on someone when things do not go as planned. That is where our slogan comes in, “Let us worry about tomorrow”. Our goal as a company is to not be the standard break fix solution, but be the whole taco in tech support, that is to ready our clients with business continuity and disaster recovery plans. So when your technology fails you, a back up solution is already in place ready to support you.
What do you mean, you are saved by Jesus Christ?
I walk and follow in a path that is Christ led, and feel that should be applied to both my personal life and my business too. To understand this we must look at the story that starts in the beginning of time, when God created the first man and woman. Their names were Adam and Eve and God had given them one specific instruction, which was to not eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Now Satan, disguised as a serpent convinced Eve to disobey God and she ate of the fruit. She then handed the fruit to Adam who took part in the disobedience. When we disobey God, it is called sin. This turning point in history is known as the fall of man. God punished mankind and as a result of their sin we all are inherit sinners. We all are incapable of keeping God’s standards. Now you can read the story of the fall of man for yourself in Genesis 3, but lets take a look at God for a moment. God is Holy, just and perfect and these attributes are repeated throughout the bible. So if God is just, holy and perfect and we inevitably sin against Him (or disobey Him), then we can conclude that upon our judgement day we will not be allowed in the gates of Heaven. However, there is good news in what you may know as the Gospel (which literally means “Good News”). Another attribute repeated throughout the bible is that God is a God of Love. With so much Love that He sent His son to earth as a man, who lived a perfect life, and then died a horrific death only to rise again from the dead all in our stead (see John 3:16-21). We can believe in that truth, be lavished in His grace and spend an eternity in Heaven rejoicing around His throne. All because Jesus took our sin upon himself at the cross. It would be similar to committing a crime and at the sentencing an innocent man voluntarily takes your punishment. In other words, a crime was committed and justice was served. By repenting of your sin or asking God to forgive you of your sin and then turning away from your sin, we know God will forgive us and allow us into the gates of Heaven, because we are forgiven with mercy and by grace through the blood of Jesus. That is how we are saved through Jesus Christ. This is a lot to try to paraphrase here, so if you have questions then I encourage you to reach out to a local church or believer, if you do not know of either or would like to ask me then feel free to contact me using the contact form on our site, which can be found here.
